i've been so exhausted lately š it's hard to keep myself awake, i could doze off any second. and of course with this comes brain fog that makes it hard to think and function properly :/ sleep meds don't work, stimulants don't work, melatonin doesn't work. i'm kinda at a loss here. i need a more in depth sleep study (cause so far the doc only gave me a sleep apnea one) but it might be awhile before i can get that

@AnimalBoy that is sort of like how I think that I feel. Life requires so much of my energy just to focus on one thing.

i also have both, and im fully diagnosed with both! Chronic fatigue doesnt mean you're sleeping all the time it means that it takes a significant amount more rest, including conscious rest, to feel okay. It has so many symptoms and can feel like you're constantly moving through molasses and physically tired even when you're not sleepy. It can also be caused and worsened by a ton of things including insomnia, not getting a full night of sleep can cause it to worsen. The insomnia isnt all the time but the CFS sure is. When I sleep less than I need to it even gives me bad physical symptoms like migraines and stomachaches and worse body pain.
@AnimalBoy Yikes sorry I meant to reply @Ashee

I have chronic fatigue and insomnia at the same time. I was never diagnosed with either problems but I just know I have them and my papa was like you can't have both you can only have one or the other because insomnia is a lack of sleep and chronic fatigue you're sleeping all the time. But at the same time I feel like I am going to pass out at any moment but at the same time I can't sleep at night.

@Ash.G people say things like that to me too. or like "chronic fatigue just means you're tired, right" when it's so much more than that š but yeah it's hard. barely being able to stay awake but not being able to sleep either feels awful

@avian yeah exactly it is more than just feeling tired it is passing out then not being able to stay asleep and feeling even more tired after you wake up from passing out. I also have chronic joint pain.
@avian see I can't sleep it 1,24am .. not norm on my phone normally just sleep music but pains so bad I needed distracting! But I don't remember the last time I had more than 10 min I have sleep thing on watch n I havent gone in to REM in WEEKS n that was cus I took 1 tablet too many. I keep saying I'm exchasyed and I need some help but I get "ye I didn't sleep well either"
I find what I eat in a day has quite an effect on me the next day with regards to my energy and pain levels. Do you find that too?
@Natz i'm not sure, i don't have the best eating habits so i bet that's not helping. but i usually think about the food i've eaten that day instead of the day before, so i'll start paying more attention to that!

@avian I know with fibro we donāt have any inflammation markers show up in our bloods but I definitely have less pain the next day if I eat inflammatory foods. Maybe worth keeping a log and see what you find? X
I'm feeling pthe same...exhausted doesn't even explain a tiny bit
