I’ve struggled with schizoaffective disorder for years now. I’ve found when I have visual hallucinations I take a video of where I see it and then watch it back once I have calmed down. If I can see the thing on the video then I would know it’s real, but if not then I know it’s okay. It’s very reassuring. I also want to tell you that your animals will ALWAYS alert you if something isn’t right. They are more attuned to those things than we are. I’ve found that sleeping with some background noise, rain videos help me the most, helps me from having auditory hallucinations.
@SpickleManIckle Also being reality checked helps me My partner will have me say this My name is ___, it is 10:26 pm on Tuesday July 17th 2022, I’m in my home in ____ and I’m going to be okay.
@SpickleManIckle Just a random example I don’t know if that was on a Tuesday
