I feel like because of ADHD i keep overthinking, like more than usual? I don't know, i have a small conversation with a friend and then i keep thinking about it for a long time and i analyze how it effects me and stuff like that, does that make sense? it's weird

I do something similar. I feel like I’m breaking down the communication and exploring it in ways that are more theoretical in nature. I’m like, “okay so when someone says this, they might mean this” or stuff that like, assesses the closeness of a relationship. I fall into comparison quite easily, but I’ve heard someone say that comparison is the thief of joy. It’s helpful to remember for me to stop over analyzing. But my ADHD brain will do what is the most interesting, which is usually picking apart emotionally charged experiences and conversations. It’s something I’m working on replacing with healthier thinking patterns.

@MatchaBunn yup! I guess the brain will always find it's ways, good luck on it! And thank you for sharing your thoughts here ☺️

I do the same thing. I replay conversations and social interactions over and over. It's super frustrating. My psychiatrist said it's the combination of my anxiety and ADD that cause this

@BrieMarie that's interesting, i haven't been diagnosed with anxiety but i really think i have it, I'll double check it with my therapist, thanks for sharing! ☺️

Hey I do the same thing. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it's a bad thing. In my personal life overtaking I think is bad because a small conversation with my spouse may come off as big once I keep overthinking it. Ad far as business, I think is a good thing because I think about all the ways it can go good and all the things that can go bad. So it's a gift and a curse.

@901Snoop i get that! It helps me a lot in my studies and i come up with interesting questions in classes because i overthink the topics yeah! I guess pros and cons huh 😅 thank you for opening my eyes on this, i never noticed the good parts

Me too! Drives me crazy. I try to explain it to my boyfriend and he just doesn't understand. I feel like my mind is a freeway with all sorts of roads going all over the place

@MissLexie2 exactly! I've been trying to have some time for myself and think and try to at lease process some things in my head but i kept getting interrupted by so many other thoughts

@Vexxter I get that entirely. It's so frustrating because then I start getting anxious and my mind won't shut off. Ugh
