I have my first counselling session on Friday and I'm terrified. I don't even know what I want to talk about cause there's 100 things I could and we only get 17 sessions in total. does anyone who goes to counselling or therapy have any advice on how to lessen my anxiety about it or what happens in counselling.

      If your mind is racing then you could write down your thoughts. Just pick up a pen and start writing- keep writing and don't even think about it - let the words spill out. Then take it to your dr and read it to them and they can help you choose where to start.

      I am actually a counselor and I think that the best place to start is think about where your anxiety spawns from and start there
