How do I feel less empty, alone, and worthless? Doing the things I love, making new friends, and helping others do make me feel happier but they aren't really helping fix the core issue, whatever that may even be. In the end I still feel the same, completely unsatisfied and desperately trying to fill in a hole in my heart with air.

I felt the same way until I got through 6 weeks of Prozac. Of course I’m still depressed, but the connections I make with people feel more real which has helped a ton. Keep us updated! 💕

The thing that helped me the most was medication. It takes a while to find the right medication and correct dosage for you but it’s definitely worth it in the end. I also find it helpful to make a gratitude journal. Reminding yourself of all the things you have make you happy and all the people that support and love you can bring up your mood. Lastly, practicing mindfulness. Just clearing your head and taking a few deep breaths can help even just a little bit.
