If you are okay and they are okay with chalk you can go outside and color on the side walk with chalk☺️ I personally love chalk but hate the texture of it. Lol

I'm not particularly a fan of functioning labels personally, I believe everyone has different support needs that functioning labels don't always accurately express accurately or clearly enough, and people will always make assumptions based on them. I digress. It may be good to just sit down and express your communication needs and concerns, bring up things you've been worried about or things you haven't liked about your current communication. Try some different systems, even just a notepad on the fridge or a daily checkup text. One thing I do as an autistic individual is I have a dry erase board I keep on my bedroom door that I write my daily communication needs, emotional states, or sensory needs so the people I live with can get an idea/warning ahead of time without the weight of communicating it being put on me. I hope that these ideas can help, and I wish you the best of luck figuring out a good way to communicate with one another.

@moonstone it's different almost every day. Sometimes it's verbal and face to face, sometimes phone calls, sometimes he just doesn't want to communicate. When he doesn't he just likes to start fights. That's the problem, especially since we have a kid together
