I'm worried I might end up finding unhealthy coping in attempt to forget about and/or numb myself to all my issues. It's 3pm and I just recently dragged myself out of bed. I don't want this to be the road I take

@Midnight160 I get this. If you've got a therapist or psychiatrist I would look into maldaptive daydreaming. It's not a disorder, but can be a symptom of MDD depending on where you're at and it can help them find good meds for you

I can relate to this on too hard of a level haha, personally Ive been setting alarms for myself at random times during the morning. Some earlier or later than others. Sometimes this gives you time to wake up a little bit each time and help clear a little bit of the brain fog each time you wake up. Sometimes just getting up and going to the bathroom can help, taking the time to thoroughly wash your hands and wake your brain up. After that everything is up to you, breath work and journaling can be super beneficial in the morning to prepare you for what’s to come. Just hang in there! You’ve got this! It might now seem like it now but everyday things will get easier bit by bit. It takes time to build bad habits as well as good ones. Be kind to yourself and remember you’re only human and doing your best

@Finches_Wishes it isn't really the morning brain fog anymore more of just not leaving the place where I get consistent invitations to a world I prefer to be

Yeah on my days off I sometimes won't leave bed until 5pm. I'm stopping work real soon and I worry how I'm gonna fill my day. I'm horrible at coping appropriately
