I have not had any sleep last night due to an arthritis flare up in my neck. It is causing severe muscle spasms in my left shoulder blade area. I took a muscle relaxer last night with no success.

I have had a similar issue with my neck&shoulder. I went to PT for help and it has definitely help. PT said my neck was arthritis but they helped the shoulder pain and it reduced my neck pain too.

The neck pain can be relentless. I’m up 2-3 nights a week with the pain. Rotating between a rice roll (sometimes heated), a heating pad and a very soft pillow. I have tried injections. Mine is aggravated by inflammation at the base of my skull and comes with very blurred vision and throbbing headaches like I’ve never experienced before,

Heat helps with my neck. Recently had Steroid injection between C1 C2: it really helps, how long will it last is the question?

I've recently bought a U shaped pillow. It's the one meant for pregnant women. I'm having a much better night's sleep now. It's like being wrapped in a warm hug

I've been told by ny gp that they think I've got rheumatoid arthritis as well as other conditions but they can't perscibe anything for the pain due to not knowing if it is arthritis and I'm in pain 24/7 with my back and legs. I'm on morphine currently with helps a bit and I use a ibuprofen 10% gel which helps my back a bit any other recommendations would be appreciated

I have to see a rheumatologist for the first time, my oncologist is concerned due to NHL and a hood chance I will be dealing with it. He said he sees it in my hands.

@jamie325 it could really help to see a Rheumatologist. I've been working with mine a lot lately to really get control of what's going on with my body and find the best solution. I hope you get the care you need and feel better!
