Struggling with Bathroom Anxiety as a Trans Person

I always feel so weird going into public restrooms... I feel uncomfortable going into either because I'm not masc presenting enough to pass nor feeling okay with being in the other. I try to hold it if I can but I get so happy when there are single one person restrooms. Unless I really have to go I'll just hold it. Plus sometimes I get wigged out by not knowing the cleanliness of public toilets anyway, even with tp on the seats or uncomfortably squatting. 😥 I'm sorry you have to experience this rn, hopefully you'll get to a point, where I'm guessing because of your phrasing, passing well enough to feel comfortable and safe to use the men's room.

i know how you feel, i only feel safe/like myself going to family restrooms. it’s confusing to me when stores don’t have a family restroom, I don’t belong in either bathroom. sometimes i usually suck it up and go to the woman’s restroom just because i feel safer in there. it’d be cool to have restroom buddies to go with to make everyone feel comfortable as they are.
