      @pandasss for me I’ve only experienced a slight tremor. They were worried how it would affect me as Lithium can affect the thyroid and I already have Hashimoto’s, but it’s been fine, they just adjust my Levothyroxine. In the UK you get a purple book with more info and a book inside to write down all the test results, so that’s helpful. Unsure if other countries do that.

      I’ve been on Lithium over a year, my only regret is that I didn’t start it sooner. It has worked really well for me, completely stopped my hypomania or mania and reduced my depressions a lot. I would recommend trying it if your dr feels it’s a good idea. Like others have said, getting regular blood tests is a good idea, as is drinking enough water. When starting lithium they should go through side effects you may have and how to manage them.

      Started lithium back in 2022. Drink lots of water with it. This is gross but keep a bathroom close it gave me diarrhea for the first week or so and did so with each dosage increase but not as bad each increase. Might have just been me as I have other digestive issues but just in case! And I've noticed some shaking and even balance issues but nothing life altering. It helped me greatly with getting rid of suicidal and homicidel thoughts.

      I'm on it and the only issue I have is when I first started on it I have horrible dry mouth but that goes away after a couple weeks. Make sure to get your lithium levels checked for toxicity because it can be dangerous in high amounts but it's unlikely.

      I've been on it for awhile now, just get your bloodwork done and watch out for any tremors or side effects. :)
