my anxiety levels are so bad I want to cry nonstop... my adhd teenage daughter(17) is a senior in high school. She is acting out in school already missing assignments and getting low grades and saying she has tics and sensory issues but she doesn't she only acts this way at school... she doesn't listen at home and is what I call a sassmouth. she is rude and disrespectful to me but never to my husband her stepdad even thou he has raised her since she was 6 her sperm donor hasn't been in the picture since then. getting her to stop eating in her room mustless cleaning it is an uphill battle. I'm not sure how I feel but she thinks she may be bi but who really knows at 17. any help or advice would be great. I love my daughter but I don't know how to handle her.

Went thru the same thing girlie.. one thing I can say for sure is hold on it doesn't last long. My advice would be this.. Take her to the doctor and anywhere else she thinks she needs to go for her ailments. I did not believe mine when she would complain about her back. I just thought she didn't want to go to school, I thought she was being lazy and get school work went down. She was going to fail. Took her to doctor for the fourth time and said listen y'all going to have to do something figure something out tell her she is crazy and I'm right. So they did a MRI.. I felt like the worse mother for a year and a half I doubted her and the specialist told me another 6 months and she would have been paralyzed. She was in a fender bender with her boyfriend told me about it but was in love and everything was going right at the moment for her so she never complained until about 6 months later. She had to have back surgery at 17. And as for her room..I gave up there too. Just tell her to keep her door shut and forget about it. She is the one that has to live in it. I just pretended that room didn't exist. And as for the disrespect. Yes it's rough and it's makes you feel a certain way but that will end. Mine finally moved out at 21. And now she understands. We don't talk like I wish we would but she tells me she loves me when we hang up the phone.
