Someone I love and care about gives me a lot of anxiety and I'm thinking it might be time to let them go but I don't really want to. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it?

I have had a similar situation recently. I learned a lot about what to do before letting go of someone.... If the anxiety is bad enough that it is affecting your life and time with them, then I have some suggestions. First, can you talk to them or work through what is causing your anxiety? Is it a behavior or just them in general? If you can't talk to them or it is something that can't be changed... You have to let them go... It sucks and can really hurt, but in the end, you can only rely on yourself. You have to put yourself first. ❤️

I'm going through this situation as we speak. We'll sit down and talk about how I'm feeling, it'll be great for a while. Then it starts all over again.

@Shenna It's so difficult and confusing. I really wish things were different. I'm sorry you're dealing with it as well. It's such a sad situation.

@Dahedgiesthog we have had this conversation in the past but things only got better for a little while then it seemed he reverted back to his old ways. So I'm thinking it's a behavioral thing. Idk if it's fixable though or if it's something he'd do. He knows he needs to be gentle with me but he forgets to a lot of the times. I honestly think he may be a vulnerable/covert narcissist and I don't want to believe that he might be toxic for me. My mind and heart have been battling it out over him for months.

@Cookiee I am sorry you are going through this. I feel where you are coming from 100%. I would suggest trying to have a conversation again and be upfront about how much it is affecting you. If he truly cares and is good for you, he will listen and work on changing things for you.
