Bipolar Disease is a chemical/physical disease that affects how we think. If you are physically depressed, you are almost always psychologically depressed; therefore, it is of utmost importance that you be treated by a psychiatrist specializing in physical depression. The mixture of proper medication and psychotherapy is the key to recovery. Stay away from alcohol and drugs! Exercise regularly and get enough rest. Socialize with positive people and be kind to yourself. Keep a good spiritual life. Never, ever give up! The

Hi, nice to meet you. I'm happy to chat if you would like to. I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder for 25 yrs and have worked long and hard at being aware of my moods and behaviors. If you have any questions, or just want to rant or chat, let me know.

I feel bad for your kids and am unwilling to believe a friendly or kind person would put them through something like that. Way to pass on your illness

I suffer from depression and bipolar disorder as well. It's really hard I will say but Wellbutrin has been a life saver for my depression I'm feeling better than ever. I also take vraylar and viibryd for bipolar and I noticed I don't get as agitated as I use too. I'm more calm and understanding. My mood swings improve tremendously. But now I'm still dealing with agoraphobia and that's been one of my biggest challenge. I can't seem to really be around ppl I get really hot flashes and get stuff like I can't function I loose all coordination.

I am also very self aware when it comes to bipolar. Keeping a symptom journal is a good idea, as well as regular journaling to release emotions. Seroquel has been my best treatment so far so if you are looking for medications to take I'd recommend that. I also have alternative health methods to help me, let me know if you're interested in hearing anything about those!
