I hate being at my dads. there's nothing to do, my neighbors hate me, his house is basically in the middle of nowhere, I'm not allowed to leave the house most of the time, there's barely any food here, everything is dirty and now that schools out I'm gonna have to spend half of the summer here and to make it worse none of friends invite me to hangout when im at my dads cus they assume I can't hangout so basically I'm stuck inside all day doing nothing. me and my dad don't talk, me and my sibling barely talk at most me and my dad will say a few sentences to eachother if I'm lucky. but my mom says I can't be at her house for the summer bc "it will hurt my dad" but he'd barely even notice I'm gone. she also says I don't get a say in who's house I'm at bc I'm a minor and it's just all so frustrating

Oh and how do you know that your neighbors really do hate you? Maybe they are grumpy and tired and they need help? Maybe you can offer to help them on projects while your dad's at work and if your dad agrees. That's a good neighborly thing to do and a kind compassionate thing to do

You can make yourself feel good and make yourself proud by doing little projects in the home. You could clean the mirror the sink and the toilet. You could do dishes everyday. You could dust and make things smell good. If there's a washing machine and dryer, you can learn to do laundry. I don't know if you're a boy or a girl, but either sex could take pride and learning how to clean a home because it sets you up for the future of what your house could be when you have a family. If you really don't have much food in the house and it's the truth, see if you and your dad could go to the store and buy some stuff they'll last until you could go to the store again. If your dad is poor maybe he needs to check about doing food stamps or going to food banks. My husband has sleep apnea and sleeps a lot and I tend to watch TV and try to get stuff done during commercials and I also play games on the tablet or a phone. There are Scrabble games and hexagon games I play on my phone. Sometimes I need to keep myself physically busy to occupy my brain because of my depression and I actually start cutting things outside or giving trees haircuts with clippers

I'm in a similar situation right now, there really isn't much to do. If you can try to plan things out like get a calendar and give it to your dad and see what you can do. If you can't go out why don't you try a new hobby, like making jewelry
