I think those are what we call the “undesirable emotions” but they are just as important as the more enjoyable ones. Negative emotions hold information about what is wrong in your life and where you need more support and security and fairness. BPD reactions aren’t all that crazy when you look at the insanity of how we have been treated. We can unlearn our programmed behaviors to trauma and stress. And replace them with healthier behaviors. It takes time and help. This isn’t something you should try to fix by yourself unless you have no choice. I recommend looking into DBT Skills for coping strategies and techniques to help you deescalate your emotions and handle distressing situations.
