Recently my management of my PTSD has taken a turn for the worse and I've started to spiral and cut people out of my life without really meaning to. None of these people have ever been understanding of my conditions and several have triggered me on purpose before 'as a joke', but it still hurts to lose people I've considered friends in the past because I've finally lashed out at them. It feels lonely, despite it maybe being for the best.

You definitely deserve way better friends than ones who will purposely trigger you, and cutting out the toxic people will make way for the better friends that will eventually cross your path. It will happen, stay strong!

You deserve much better than friends who go out of their way to trigger you. I’m sorry that you had to cut these people out, but it sounds like you made the right decision. If you ever need a friend to talk to who understands the experience of PTSD, my DMs are always open.

I’m so sorry you feel this way, but from someone who had to cut a bunch of people out of their life (almost all of my friends did NOT respect boundaries, PTSD triggers, etc.) it’s so much better to be alone than to be surrounded by people who don’t have your best interest in mind. I’m still struggling to make new friends and fill that void but I promise it’s so much better to have the toxic people out of your life - it really changed my perspective and the way that I treat myself. 🤗 ❤️
If they are doing it on purpose then they are not friends. Your mental and overall health is more important than a "joke." You need people who care and respect you. Better to spring clean the friend zone so healthier people can replace them. You got this dude. It's hard. It's rough. Be kind to yourself and have patience.
Thank you for your kind words
