Hello, I got diagnosed with Fybormelgia last year after struggling trying to figure out why I was in so much pain all the time. I got prescribed Lyrica to help and it does sometimes but lately I feel like it's not as much and it's making it really hard to sleep because I'm just in so much pain. Until I can get into to see a Dr (just moved states) does anyone have any suggestions ?

Generalized pain

Lidocaine

Chronic Generalized pain

Ketamine

Fibromyalgia (FM)

I find heat helps me, so hot baths ir showers, but especially a heating pad (use it on my back a majority of the time since that is one of my main pain areas) Sometimes biofreeze can also be helpful

I personally do small stretches throughout the day to maintain blood flow. I bought especially soft cloths for the days that the pain is really bad. 👆 and yes heat is wonderful.

As with any medical condition, each person reacts to prescription medications in different ways. I'd suggest that you get into a new provider soon. He or she may be able to help with treatment suggestions. I've gotten the most care from my rheumatologist. He recognizes that fibromyalgia can debilitate someone. For me personally, Lyrica and Cymbalta weren't effective. I am currently on a combination of medications which includes lidocaine patches for hot spots. As for over the counter treatments, I depend on Tylenol, Biofreeze, hot baths/showers and plain old fashioned rest

I find magnesium bath flakes in a hot bath helpful for fibro pain

Hi! So if you have the resources try ketamine infusions! They have absolutely given back my life. Lyrica helped a little but the side effects are just horrible. Ketamine is expensive but I cannot emphasize enough how life changing it has been for me! Message me if you have any questing or feel like chatting ☺️ I have plenty of smaller tips and tricks too!

While you wait to see a doctor, I agree with what others are saying! Heat and stretching are your friends! Also find a masseuse who is fibro friendly. PT is great too!!

hello! Can you tell me a little bit more about the ketamine treatment? I’ve tried sooo many things and I’m still struggling.
