I just started taking buproprion/Wellbutrin to reverse the sexual dysfunction caused by Prozac which I have been taking since December. I know this is a fairly common combination and was wondering if anyone has experience with this and any insight to how long the buproprion might take to kick in.

I took 150mgs of buproprion at first, it took me about a month to feel 'okay' but then my doctor upped my dose to 300mgs, and even though I'm not that happy bubbly person I used to be but I am pretty happier since I got my dose upped. Rereading your post however, I'm still trying to get my sex drive back. It's a work in progress. I didn't actually know these medicines could affect sexual activity.

This happened to me too with Prozac and my sex drive was DEAD almost a year. I restarted Wellbutrin I belive in March and my sex drive came back I'd say in April/May. It does work, but it does take time, so be patient. My sex drive is back, but not the way it was before, but I think it's still a process. I hope this helps.

@OGScientist were you taking it alongside Prozac or did you switch off of Prozac to Wellbutrin?

@tchaikewazowsky no, I took Wellbutrin first, switched to Zoloft, and then got on Prozac, but I was never on any together. I'm currently now taking the Wellbutrin alone.
