I’m on the depo shot..(birth control) and somebody told me yesterday that it’s bad and I should get off of it… bc it could cause cancer, infertility, etc? Is that true?

      @ShelleyS Ive been on it for 2 years now. It has completely stopped my period… although I still have cramps… and they are a lot worse than when I had my period.

      I just started thie depo shot (got 2nd one yesterday). I have endometriosis and bleed every single day. So far still bleeding. How long have you been on it and do you get your period?

        @ShelleyS I've been on it 10+ years and quit bleeding right after taking the shot. I hope yours stops soon

      I've heard it can cause infertility because it stops the ovulation for as long as you're on it, but I've been on it for 10years the first time with a 2 year break then back on it for 2-3 years.
