I can completely understand how you feel. I live on Cape Cod and the house is Historical. The house was lifted a little and the work caused the mice and rats. I had no idea until I found one just standing there and wasn't running away. So we had an exterminator come and we never had problems again. However, I couldn't sleep, I was constantly checking for them, and my cleaning was worse, which is already extreme. I do EFT or tapping some people call it. It helps me with the panic and I went on Propranolol. It works very well for me and my anxiety. It's a high blood pressure medicine that works for anxiety. Good luck.
