New to the Group, Dealing with Peripheral Neuropathy

I have neuropathy in my back, legs and feet. Trying nerve blocks and Gabapentin. It's definitely a battle.

I also have Peripheral Neuropathy. It is dreadfully painful. I went through 4 Nuerologists before l was diagnosed. First 3 told me l was faking. So for a year and a half l suffered. My 4th doctor did tests that same week and had my diagnosis but unfortunately because l was so long without a diagnosis it now has attacked some of my internal organs. I have nerve damage on my bladder, my heart and my esophagus. Doctor is not allowing me to return to work. There is a possibility l maybe having surgery for my lower lumbar. My vertebrae on my lower lumbar is thinning off of my spinal cord and it feels like my lower back is broken. I can only sit up to 30 minutes at once. Stand for no more than 15 minutes at once. The only way l don’t hurt is laying with my legs elevated. Please message me here or private message if you want to talk.

I have had peripheral neuropathy for about seven years now, it affects my hands and more so my feet. One thing that helps me a lot is if I avoid or cut way down on sugar. That is one major trigger for the pain for me. I also make sure that I take B vitamins, drink plenty of water and eat as clean a diet as possible.
