Does anyone else get headaches/migraines from pressure changes? I always find myself in pain half a day or so before it rains or snows, sometimes to a debilitating extent, and pain medication doesn't help. Any tips for preventing or dealing with barometric pressure headaches??

Hey! Are you me? I could’ve written this myself! I live in a high altitude place with a lot of low pressure/pressure changes (Denver, CO US), and have been struggling the past few days with an awful headache bc of a snowstorm. I’m wondering if relocating to a place with more stable pressure is the only “cure”. I try to stay super hydrated, take NSAIDS + Acetaminophen + caffeine and find no relief for these headaches! Occasionally, I think nasal decongestants (pseudoephedrine) kind of help because it feels like sinus pressure behind my eye one one side or the other is a contributing factor. But I lived across country for a couple years, closer to sea level in a more stable pressure area, and noticed it’s much worse now that I’ve relocated back. :(

@SabrinaDivina I totally feel you, I live in the midwestern US and go to school a bit further south than my hometown, what used to be headaches are full on migraines down here even though I'm only 3 hours away! Its crazy how different the pressure systems can be across the country. This kind of thing runs in my family and my aunt had to move to Arizona for a more stable pressure environment because hers got so bad
I deal with them all the time, so does my mom. What I know does in fact help is drinking peppermint tea and staying in a dark room laying down, elevating the head with pillows just slightly, like 45° angle maybe? Take pain meds like naproxen if you can. A heating pad at the base of the neck and a cold washcloth on the forehead relieves the pain a little. This is just stuff that works for me or my mom as everyone is different. Hopefully some of this stuff works for you
