I'm having a really rough time, biggest and longest Fibro flare ever, I lost my 23yr old son in January last year he was in a road traffic accident, I haven't been able to greive, I cried at his funeral, I feel so numb and empty 😢😢

Grief is not linear. It has different stages. For myself personally, I have found psychotherapy and grief support groups helpful. My favorite grief analogy is called ball in a box. Grief is like a ball in a box. You can't do anything with the ball of grief hitting against the walls of the box. Much how grief effects us. Over time it is not the ball that gets smaller. It never truly goes away. But the box can get bigger and allow for new things.

Wow this is incredibly tragic. I am so so so sorry!!! You said you haven't been able to grieve. But I don't think that's true. I see you. I see your grief. Your grief looks like physical pain, it looks like numbness and emptiness. These things ARE how you are experiencing grief right now. There is not a right way to grieve. You're doing exactly what you need to be doing to get through this difficult time. In the future your grief might look different. If you're wanting to connect to this process in a different way, you can have that conversation with yourself. In your silence you can ask yourself, "What is this numbness doing for me?" and listen for an answer. You'll probably learn that you're enough just as you are.

never in a million years did I think I'd have to bury a child, I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy, I'd trade places with him in a heartbeat if I could 💔
