Dealing with Extreme Menstrual Pain

Have you tried mefanamic acid? I found it extremely helpful. It's only on prescription (at least in the UK). I saw you're concerned about going to the obgyn, often you can have someone accompany you to appointments which I have previously found super helpful in reducing the trauma response, also mindfulness during any examinations and warning the Dr of your previous trauma can really help.

I was the same way. I take Naproxen but it's also because I have endometriosis. Nothing works besides naproxen 500. Talk with an OBGYN. My family doc didn't know what to do.
