The first two days of my period are always extremely painful. I've tried Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Aspirin, and Aleve to no avail. The only thing that I'm able to do for it is to sleep. Anyone know what else I can try or do to help?

@JammyDogFace I don't have anyone that I fully trust that lives in the same state as me. As for the medication I haven't yet. I live in the US and I'll have to ask my doctor about it

Have you tried mefanamic acid? I found it extremely helpful. It's only on prescription (at least in the UK). I saw you're concerned about going to the obgyn, often you can have someone accompany you to appointments which I have previously found super helpful in reducing the trauma response, also mindfulness during any examinations and warning the Dr of your previous trauma can really help.

I was the same way. I take Naproxen but it's also because I have endometriosis. Nothing works besides naproxen 500. Talk with an OBGYN. My family doc didn't know what to do.

@Andizee I'm worried about talking to an OBGYN due to ptsd, any tips?

@GlitchSky unfortunately I don't I'm sorry. Alls I can say is do your research on the doctor before going. Ask as many questions as you want as well.
