I can't tell if I'm real or not. I feel like I'm dreaming. I'm scared.

You are not alone. I’ve been here too. What helps is to ground yourself. Touch your skin. Look into the mirror. Music can help. Talk to yourself. Do the “5,4,3,2,1” method with your five senses to study and observe the world around you. Breathe. Be outside in the sun. Drink ice cold water to shock your system. Distract yourself with something fun. Or, my favorite, have someone check your vital signs to remind you that you exist and are alive! You got this!
Okay. Take out your phones camera and point it at something around you. If you see it in the camera then it’s real. Point the camera some where on yourself. If you see your yourself in the camera you are real. ❤️

Can confirm that the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 thing works well for pulling your conscious self back into your physical body. I get this frequently too- worse when I’m not being appropriately treated. This may or may not apply to you, but what also works for me is covering myself with my weighted blanket from head to toe and breathing intentionally, focusing on the physical sensations of having a body so I can relax whatever is tense. I’m autistic and dissociate in response to sensory overload. Know that this isn’t forever, too. Take care of your basic needs and try to ride the rest out. ❤️ You got this.
