Struggling with Body Image and Friend's Comments

I understand this and your feelings are so valid💕 for me even tho logically knowing someone probably meant well, it makes me feel not seen and like my feelings don’t matter. I’ve realized telling the person how it makes me feel without blaming them for causing me to feel that way helps me to have compassion for myself and them, that they probably didn’t know how upsetting hearing that is and would rather actually know so they can be a better friend to me really helps break the cycle. If I stay only in logical thinking I betray my own feelings and don’t share and if I don’t share it’s way more likely to keep happening. Ironically, logically speaking, it would probably do way less damage and at least bring opportunity for connection to bring up and express how you feel. Either way I’m sorry you’re feeling this way and that your friend said that.
