A whole lotta breaks. Listen to your body. If you can only do a couple of minutes then only do a couple of minutes. Heating and icing help. Medication helps. I love using biofreeze (basically icy hot).

I have my kids do it all. Lol If you don't have kids, I also use my computer office chair to get around. (I'm currently bedridden from the unbearable sciatica and awaiting surgery in a few weeks). I don't have a wheelchair so my office chair has wheels and fits through my house. I also don't have a dishwasher so when i do hve to do dishes I put a tall chair in front of the sink and sit while I do them. Lidocaine patches help in the beginning stages. Right now I'm taking Gabapentin and Prednisone with Ibuprofen and Tylenol. That seems to be knocking the edge off my sciatica. A back brace helps also. And don't stand for too long and also don't sit for too long. Take frequent breaks and walk as much as you sit. Balance is key. I'm not sure what kind of back pain you have but there are some medications that you can get for different pains...whether it's arthritis or sciatica or slipped disc, etc. Try pulling up youtube and searching for Dr Michael Rowe. He has a ton of different videos of special stretching for whatever back condition or pain you have. Ice packs also help. And if you can't bend over, buy a grabber claw. Those are great for when you drop things, which I do all the time. Good luck!

I take my 3 back pain meds and put on a bunch of lidocaine patches and do what I can until it hurts too much to go on.

I always have to take my nerve medicine before I do anything. It sucks. Do you take anything?
