Met with a new OBGYN, he suggested a laparoscopy. Should I do it? What are the pros and cons?

That was another thing that I read. That regular obgyn don't have the knowledge to diagnose it because of reasons such as the evolution of color appearance, subtleness of the disease, etc. I hope that you can find answers too, feel free to direct message me if you ever just need to talk❤

My laparoscopy was preformed by a OBYN and excision and ablation would have been used for removal, but nothing was found. They explained to me that ablation would only be used on the tissues found not on the entire uterus and would have no effects on my fertility. I was very hopeful that this laparoscopy would bring me relief and answers but I never anticipated nothing would be found and I’m devastated. I don’t know how to find a specialist either but it seems to be my only option because I have never felt so lost. This isn’t to scare you, but to possibly save you the time of having to go through multiple surgeries. Hope you find a specialist to help💕

I've just read so much on how you shouldn't let a regular obgyn do it because they will get rid of it via ablation and that will make it worse. I don't know how to find a reliable specialist (I don't understand how to use Nancy's nook) and I've only been diagnosed based on my symptoms so should I even go to a specialist?

It’s a very minimally invasive procedure, I’m 22 and have been fighting doctors to do it for years and wish they had let me do it sooner cause it wasn’t bad. I got my procedure done 4 days ago and i feel fine, I’m tired and my abs hurt but it was very fast and simple.

Absolutely. It’s the only way to be officially diagnosed with endo. It’s a relatively simple procedure.
