I don't feel like I'll ever get used to this pain. I asked my doctor about edibles and she offered a ketamine infusion. have any of you tried either of those? this is my first time here.

I use edibles (and cannabis in many forms for my pain) and I am also on ketamine troches (sublingual form of ketamine) daily. I was on Duragesic (fentanyl patches), morphine and several other scheduled 2 drugs for nearly 18 years and thankfully off. Surprisingly, I am more functional and overall my pain is better controlled (in some ways). I still suffer but the fentanyl had numbed not just my pain, but all of my individual senses (eventually I had to listen to telly louder, food was not as enjoyable, sense of touch was lowered), not to mention my personality in total. I thought a lot of it was depression and thought I was aging older by time I hit 30. It was a looong process coming off all the meds and and I did not realise all I had lost, until it slowly began to reemerge.
