I have never been able to sleep in the house by myself. if I do fall asleep, I can't wake up. I have a recurring nightmare;it's like watching a movie..(the nightmare) I can see myself sleeping but someone is in the house and I'm screaming my lungs out trying to wake myself up. (real life) I can't wake myself up, someone else has to. has anyone ever had anything like this? if so does anything help???

One user mentioned having a recurring nightmare and waking up screaming and in a cold sweat. They suggested getting up, drinking something, and looking at social media to distract themselves. They also recommended listening to calming music or vibrational music to get back to sleep after shaking off the effects of the nightmare. Another user suggested listening to different music than normal or classical music, and eating something sweet or salty to help with nightmares.
