Discovering Binge Eating Disorder

I found out back in 1994 when I was diagnosed by my family physician at the age of 14 years old. I've been in recovery since I was 16 years old taking it one day at a time I tried a 12 step program called OA and it helped me a lot with my binging, compulsive eating, late night eating and made me realize I was an emotional eater too. I also think through out the years therapy and family and friends support has helped a lot too.

I found out back in 2019 ! I was so happy I knew what it was but it's too bad there's not much research in the disorder

my mind was blown when i figured out it was another eating disorder category, but it completely made sense, i felt seen. it makes me feel a little less out of control to know other people struggle with the same thing
