I've not officially been diagnosed with MS, but I'm getting an MRI. I've had a lot of tests done and everything continues to come back normal. I'd like to have any feedback on if y'all think it could be MS. I'll try to be brief: I started having "episodes" Feb. 2022 which included fatigue, nausea, headache, some muscle aches, lethargic, dizziness, sensitivity to cold, foggy brained, sometimes chest pain/heart palpitations, and just overall felt bad. It typically lasted about 4 or so hours. The episodes increased in intensity, frequency, and length for about 4 months. I haven't had an episode in about 5-6 weeks, but I feel sick daily with varying intensities. My main daily symptoms are headaches/migraines, nausea, fatigue, sensitivity to cold, some muscle pain, and some chest pain, minor vision problems (seeing "floaters" and intermittent blurry vision), dizziness (it's been a bit better the last 2 weeks), and some brain fog. Sorry that's a lot, but if anyone has feed back or thoughts please let me know! Thanks in advance!
My blood sugar during and post episodes is within normal limits and definitely no chance of pregnancy. Both because I practice abstinence (and am unmarried) and because the doctor still did a pregnancy test and it was negative.
Ive seen so many people get checked and come up negative... Years later they do the right tests at the right time and yup there it is. Plz don't get discouraged, it don't mean much. Also I've heard make sure they do contrast on the mris it can make a huge difference
I get all of those symptoms with my silent migraines, which happen to be part of my MS. An MS episode is only official if it lasts 24 hours or more, apparently.
You can do the chin tuck test if you want: you stand straight and tuck you chin down to your neck. Don't hunch over or try to touch your chin to your chest. I do this to see if I have any disruptions in my nerve pathways. Observe any tingling sensations you might have in your hands, feet, arms, legs, etc.
Over extending your chin tuck will give you skewed results.
thanks for letting me know about that! I'll have to use that. I did it and my shoulder/neck tingled. I'm not sure if that's what it is supposed to happen.
