Hydroxazine. I think it’s a mild one, but it isn’t habit forming.

@KratomEater hydroxazine is also used as an allergy medication. I tried it for anxiety but it didn’t help

          436d

@Angeliquet07734 yeah m, that is true as well. It helps me a Little, but I can see how it wouldn’t help some people

Unfortunately my psychiatrist wont treat my anxiety because she treats everyone like a junkie and I can’t take SSRI’s because I have too many side effects. So I’m on depakote and aripiprazole for my bipolar disorder and that’s it.

GABApenten calmed my anxiety. I was so stressed before I took the medication that my hair was falling out, but the gaba fixed it. It has little to no side effects, is non addictive and you can’t overdose on it. I’m on 600ml 3x a day. It didn’t completely get rid of my anxiety, but I found that the caffeine in green tea calms me down quite a bit when taken with gaba.

I've been through a lot of medications - propanalol, sertraline, ecitalipram, venlafaxine, I am currently taking duloxetine. My body hasn't been reacting well to any of the medications so far, and duloxetine actually has the reverse effect and gives me panic attacks and anxiety when I take it, and I'm also getting a lot more indigestion since taking it. I'm working through to find what's right for me but damn it's been a long journey

Lexapro and it doesn’t work. For more severe times hydroxyzine which puts me to sleep. Which is bad because a lot of times I’m at work.

      • pandasss

        451d

@Picklelover21 How severe does it need to be to take it? I have frequent flashbacks which turn into panic attacks, would that be ok or does it need to be worse?

    • Cara55

      451d

Nothing cuz no one will give me anything for it

    • cabezacansada

      451d

I have had severe anxiety since I was a little girl. No doctor had ever prescribed me anything for it until just this last year. Buspirone. I take 15mg 3x's a day. For the first time ever I know what it feels like to not live in constant anxiety!

      Zoloft

      • Krystal

        452d

@Lonelyturtle I just got prescribed Zoloft to treat my mild depression and anxiety. I am very nervous to start it. How has your experience been with it?

        • Lonelyturtle

          451d

@Krystal i have been on it a week and so far so good. I was suffering from really bad anxiety so my doctor thought I would benefit from it. I Can relate to you where I was really nervous to try it since I’ve never been on antidepressants before. The first day I had really bad nausea but I was fine after that. I also had really bad anxiety the first day but I think it’s because I had preworkout. I have stopped drinking caffeine besides matcha and I’ve had no issues besides that first day. My anxiety is pretty much gone. I don’t feel like I’m constantly in a state of flight or fight. I also got my appetite back. I was underweight and I’ve gained like 4 pounds. I’m happy with it so far.

        • kay3

          452d

@Krystal have you been on anything before? Have you started it yet

    • RandiJean

      453d

I take propranolol during my panic attacks or right before. My BP will run high all day if I don't.

    • Darby33

      453d

      I take propranolol

    • Jadiemay

      453d

Propranolol. It’s the fast acting kind. Meaning I take it as I need it. Some days I take none, some days I take 1, 2 or 3 doses just depends on the severity of my anxiety that day. I’ve tried many for anxiety and depression but this has been the best thing for me personally and would recommend it to someone who maybe doesn’t want something long term or is bad at remembering to take their tablets everyday. It’s also the only one tablet I’ve taken that’s not given me any side effects.

    • _kindly.ci_

      453d

i took fluoxetine, witch didn’t work for me but lots of people do like it. i’m now on Citalopram 20mg and i love it it has helped a lot.

I take Prozac and Hydroxozine. I take them both for long term anxiety , but Hydroxozine is used for both long and short term anxiety. I used to take it for panic attacks, but now take it daily at a lower dose. I've found that they're both helpful and that I can manage my anxiety better with them

      • Yuka

        454d

@carter._.16 how long have you been on hydroxyzine?
