Has anyone else been diagnosed with essential tremors and it came back even when on medication OR you are otherwise not convinced the diagnosis was correct?

My one started with gabapentin and comes back when I do not sleep well.

I have had mine since I was little and my neurologist said I would have them for the rest of my life. Mine are extremely prominent when I try to do small things or measure and can be seen in how bad my writing is. Mine have gotten better over the years but are still there unfortunately.

I have essential tremors too. I was told it’s hereditary. My mom has them too. I take propranolol every day and it decreases my tremors significantly. But they never fully go away.

My essential tremors were diagnosed earlier this year by a neurologist. I take propranolol when needed but generally don’t take it because when my anxiety and caffeine intake decreased, my tremors decreased a lot. It’s still bad on some days though, even if I take medication on bad days they are still present.
