Does any one else feel like they will never get to where they want to be? Be it in their transition or mental health, etc.

Yes!! And I always feel like when I’m close I pushed back again! But I’m sure it’ll be achievable in the end

Of course, it's a long waiting period where you usually have to go from jumping over big hurdles that make lots of progress to slowly maintaining to basically just sitting around waiting. That makes it not only hard to imagine that the things you're working for are actually going to make a rewarding end result for you but it also makes it easier to feel that any and every divergence from your plan of what would be ideal will cause a devastating impact on your hypothetical end result. The way I saw it was that the problem is that there isn't really an end result, you will continue to grow and change as a person so it makes less sense to worry and frett about where you will be and more sense to question and work on what changes you'd like to see and what changes you wouldn't like to see while celebrating or fixing/coping with the things that have most recently happened to you.

I know this isn't as relevant to the post, but sometimes I deeply struggle with breaking my bad habits. I just try to remember to be persistent and know that if I keep making efforts today, after a while, things will change.

A lot of the time, yeah. When I feel like that, I try to think about where I was earlier in my journey and how excited I would've been then to be where I am now. It's not easy though

@ajar like I'm over a year on hrt and honestly it doesn't feel like much has changed. It's really discouraging.

@Kasca I'm not quite a year on testosterone and am frustrated with the lack of change that I see. I understand being discouraged. I do keep hearing it takes time but that doesn't seem to help.

@Kasca I've been on testosterone for 4 years now and where I'm at now is where I was hoping I'd be after a year 😅 the changes are subtle, and unfortunately it just takes time. My doctor said to look at how my brother's puberty went/is going to guesstimate a timeline for myself. His started around 12-13, so I'm basically at where he was at 16-17, and nobody likes being 16 😂
