Im so new to all of this. I'm having a hard time understanding. Last night at 11pm my sugar was 104. I had dinner at 6:30 pm and all I had after dinner was water. I had some water thru the night and this morning a little after 10 am my fast sugar was 120. How does it go up? with nothing but water and nothing to eat for well over 12 hours. This make absolutely no sense to me. I also had my insulin injection at 11 pm. So I am very confused.

@Maxi2 my nutritionist said to not completely remove carbs from your diet. You need carbs just healthy ones in small amounts.

My bs in the morning is usually 120 but sometimes does the same as yours I do not know why. However my A1C is going down. The amount of meds I take is down so we are really happy

I was told it's a compensation or rebound high bs and I've found it helpful to prevent that by eating a snack at bedtime.....I know crazy right hope that helps

It's called dawn phenomenon. You're doing everything right. I'd like to recommend adding Ceylon cinnamon 600 mg before bedtime. As well, take it if you eat a heavy meal. While it is safe, check with your doc or pharmacist to make sure there are no interactions. I don't take meds for diabetes because the Ceylon cinnamon keeps it in check. ❤️

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago and it's been so hard and confusing 😥

@Rhae Yes the beginning is hard and confusing. It's has taken me 5yrs to relly understand the problem and process. I just love my good day and work harder to eat right and curve the cravings for sweets. My top goal is to completely remove sweets and carbs from my diet.
