me and my bf met at a young age and been together for 4 years now and my sister was talking to me worrying that things will go wrong for us when were older because we didn't get enough experience with other people and now im worried about the worst, that we make it super long and end up like my parents (very toxic) or we'll go through bad mid life crises and leave each other :( I don't wanna lose him

Every relationship is different. You can't let your parents' relationship or your sister's worries dictate your future. There are many great couples who have been together since high school and have lasted over 50 years. And as long as you and your BF are willing to do the work of the relationship then you'll be together.

I have had the exact same experience! My partner & I got together in highschool and now we have been together for 4+ years! I had the exact same fears but I realized that we have been together for so long Bc we are smart! We love eachother, communicate clearly, and we work great as a team! Trusting in yourself n your partner is everything! But I know how hard anxiety n OCD make it to remember that. I still struggle w it.

Don't listen to her, it's your relationship. If you and your bf have good understanding and good communication and if you can both learn from and observe your own behaviors, I'm sure you'll be fine. And by being aware of your behaviors, I don't mean beat yourself up for every little thing. It's ok to make mistakes, I just mean you two need to own up to it when you do make mistakes and calmly discuss any issues if needed.

i’ve been with my boyfriend since i was very young. we were both each others first relationship, first everything really. we’ve been together 4 years now as well, and i think the best way to prevent this is to make sure you each devote time to yourself. it’s so important to maintain a sense of personal identity in a relationship, specifically long term ones.

Don’t listen to your sis the only person you should worry about is u and how u feel. I am in the same boat but its long distance for us. Just live and love if you know it in your heart it will work out
