How do you execute a plan, routine or schedule that you know you need to do but never find the energy or motivation to do it? Example: I need to start walking to help loose weight but i can never seem to leave my bed or room know matter the routine or amount of satisfaction i know id get in doing it. I just sit in front of my clock waiting till evening and then i crawl into bed early around 6ish.

Sometimes if I have the slightest inkling of “oh, I should do that,” I tell my mom, hence psychologically locking me into doing that thing. It helps me a lot for some reason 🤷‍♀️

Also I’ve struggled with leaving the house at time, sometimes just opening the windows and doors can be a small step to introduce yourself to the outside again.

Does your exercise need to be walking. I think you could start by doing some activity in your bedroom if your need to. Yoga, Pilates, stretching, start exercising in your comfort zone and then branch out to walks or outside activity.

Start small. It might be helpful to set a timer for 15-minutes and walk for that duration. Getting in movement can be done anywhere, too.

I totally understand, I feel the same but the reason I feel I don’t go is because..I’m always sick.. but what has helped me is my dog..I know she loves it out there..and she has helped alot. But i wish i has a friend who would go with me..

I’ve been trying to get into this habit too, but am mildly agoraphobic, so my goal has switched to “just get outside” everyday. I don’t always manage it but it feels less daunting. Maybe bringing it down to something simpler or smaller first will help you?
