Anyone else cope through major retail therapy even though they deal with financial strain? My birthday is Wednesday and I don’t have anyone to celebrate with so I’ve been coping by buying myself plants that I’ve been wanting for ages. Plants provide me with a lot of fulfillment and happiness and keeping them alive keeps me alive, in a sense. Does that make any sense?

My coping mechanism is buying craft supplies and learning a new skill. My hobby is collecting hobbies. Im gonna need a new house with a room just for crafting because I'm running out of room for all of it.

Browsing yarn is so fun too just looking at all the different kinds! Hypnotizing

I am the same about retail therapy...! It used to be a big problem for a long time where I wouldn't come home for hours. I think plants are a nice thing to have a lot of! That's so cool you're able to keep them alive, most people don't have a green thumb. Happy early birthday friend!

It makes perfect sense. I can also relate to making multiple purchases with a limited budget.

I recently got a new, expensive tattoo so I’m desperately trying to not go down that route again because I don’t want to regret it later on.
