Does anyone have tips for coping with derealization and depersonalization while driving? I eventually--when I'm financially and emotionally ready --want to adopt kids. I can drive, but I dissociate the entire time I do. I need to get that handled before adoption is possible. I hope this makes sense
Being in cars every time you transport yourself anywhere makes it pretty easy to derealize further I think. I personally cope with this kind of thing by taking more walks or jogs to places when I can, out of necessity or for leisure. It really helps you keep in touch with the world around you as well as keep better track of yourself.
