Coping with Anxiety and Fear of Starting a New Job

I tend to have anxiety when starting a new job. I stayed at one job for 4 years even tho it hurt my mental health because I was so frightened to find a new job. What if I didn't like it? What if the situation is toxic? I found that two of the jobs I did get hired for I didn't mind but like they made me feel incompetent and I got anxious so I used that to let myself know this isn't the job for me. I learn to accept that if it's a job I'm supposed to have I'll enjoy some aspect of it that will get me to stay. And like another person commented I just keep telling myself as long as I am doing my best and showing them I'm good at my work and enjoying myself then the anxiety soon fades. You'll eventually get comfortable

it’s always really hard starting at a new job. i also have trouble with anxiety pertaining to a new job. i try to remember that i’m new, so it will take awhile for me to settle in. as long as you’re trying, that’s really all you can do
