I had my first RFA done just under a year ago. I started to feel pain again several weeks ago, but didn't recognize that it was the same pain from before until I was in constant, significant pain. The last few days have been excruciating. I've been to my pain specialist, and the soonest they can get me in for another RFA is over a month from now. In the meantime, I still need to function. I have lidocaine patches which offer very little relief. Aleve was recommended... Laughable. I don't find relief from the pain with marijuana, sadly. That's about all I have to cope. I'm just desperate for something to help. Recommendations would be awesome!

This is my worst fear if I pursued surgery. My PT told me about some research about how the brain remembers pain and will send pain signals even if there's nothing wrong. Look up "why things hurt Ted talk."
