I have decided that I don’t want a partner and I don’t want kids because I am so afraid of tragically losing my partner or losing my kids/hurting my kids because of decisions I make (making a right turn instead of left in the car, forgetting to unplug something, etc) and I just know the anxiety isn’t worth it. Is it bad that I’d rather just be alone so I don’t have to worry about hurting anyone

If you truly want to remain solitary, it’s nog wrong just different. Stay happy though. One love. Should always be self. At least you. 💜 💔

Sometimes we try “too hard”
Intrapersonal autonomous psychology. Study yourself and your needs deeply without distraction. Almost always clear the other way around, bug you’re too anxious and scared and futuretripping. It DOES mostly happen out of nowhere (woodworks is a joke). Believe and they shall come.

Thank you so much Janie for such a kind response. It means a lot 🤍 I’m so happy you found your person and it gives me hope too
If you're comfortable by yourself than there's nothing wrong with that. But on the other hand, maybe you just haven't met the right person? I know how easy it can be to just want to push everyone away, but when i met my fiancé, things changed. I finally managed to find someone who listens, doesn't judge, and tries everything in his power to help. He's no therapist, but having someone to support you and help you get through things can be extremely beneficial to your mental health. It doesn't have to be romantic, it can be a friend or family, but it's important to have a good support system. Remind yourself that you're only human, and it's not your fault that your brain functions differently than others. The right people will understand and want to help. :)

If you are happy to be alone, that's fine. But anxiety is not a good reason to give up and not find a partner and have children. With adequate treatment, you can overcome your fears. I think CBT and SSRI can be very effective in your condition.

you have literally decided to not pursue things that would bring you joy in the future to protect those you would come to love**** that is one of the most selfless things. but again you deserve to feel that love.
it’s not bad, you are not a bad person. you have literally decided to not pursue things that would bring you joy. cinnamon, please think about talking to someone about this, you deserve to feel the joy of company. we cannot push away joy for the sake of our disorder, you deserve more than that. we all do. it’s easier said than done but good things are coming, we just have to learn not to push them away somehow.
