could anxiety/ptsd cause my entire body to hurt? a year ago this weekend there was a fire in my apartment where i lost pretty much all my possessions. i have a home now. and for no explained reason, on Friday night at 1 and then at 3 am my alarms went off in my house. my daughter was crying, my dog peed on the floor, my heart was pounding out my chest and my body was shaking. didn't get any sleep. Saturday i could not move. like my whole body was hurting if i tried to get up off the couch. my sister swore i had covid. but I'm not sick. today I'm ok. not hurting any more. I've never had this happen. had anyone else experienced this type of pain after a triggering event? i feel like I'm crazy.

I get like that with my anxiety.

I’ve been wondering this myself and have definitely seen a correlation between my pain level and my anxiety/ptsd. I notice on days when something really stressful happens or when I remember certain things my whole body gets tense and I don’t realize until I’m in so much pain from clenching my jaw and my body muscles for days.
