@batgirl79 ya, soda is a huge one to cut out. If you aren't sensitive to the fake sugars I would suggest diet drinks. Not diet soda though. I know that they are not necessarily great for you, but you get your water in and nothing to effect your sugars.

@mydragonmoon farther along in my journey. I just had an EKG for a pre op appointment and there were a few tiny blips that concerned the Dr and it scared me enough to start eating better. I have been eating salads and chicken. I am also trying to stop drinking soda. Have been doing ok for just starting.
