(fair warning this isn't going to really be about anxiety). Do any of your parents argue so often and loudly, you just kind of zone out to try your best to block it out. I'll listen to music, but it doesn't always help. What exactly do any of you suggest in this situation?

My parents did, I would listen to music or watch TV or call a friend. Something to distract my brain from them

Actually yeah, my parents have done that my whole life, usually coloring helps me a lot, adult coloring books can be overwhelming so I typically use kids

@skyflower I do that too, I have a few coloring books to choose from. Do you use pencils or markers?

My go to is to go out with music and just go to my comfort place!

@Kyo420 may I ask where your comfort place is?

@Green_Goblin Well I live in MT and we have a bunch of open land, and I love to just sit in a open dandelion field and watch the stars!

Taking a walk is my go-to to help me not shut down! SleepinBeau17 has really great advice!

Thank you. I will try to remember to try these out and see if they help! :)

Technically zoning out is a symptom of anxiety, so you've come to the right place. Try taking a walk, meditating, or even just sitting down and creating something. Whether it be art, poetry, or just notes about how you feel, you can always channel these emotions. Maybe listen to music and do one of the other. It might help to quiet it all.
