Not sure if this is something you'd enjoy typically. If not, it's not gonna help lol. But for me, go out into the woods. A nature park if you have one nearby. And just walk, or bring a blanket and just lay down and look at the trees above you. Unless that's something normal for you, it's probably a pretty big change from what you do everyday. And it's a lot calmer there, easier to think and to ground yourself. You might not feel all better, perfect, fine.. but it could help you enough to get you to a place you can try to pull yourself out of that. It sucks, I used to do it all the time. Still do sometimes, just not as much.

Feel like that all the time. Sometimes I feel like I'm outside looking at myself yelling to stop but I just keep slipping farther down. A lot of the time it's like the autopilot button stuck in the on position and nothing I do unsticks it

Yes! I think I've been that way the majority of my life. I feel like I'm going thru the motions. At work and in what social situations I get in, I know when to put the smile on, when to chuckle, how to "fit in" I guess but inside I feel totally empty.

@pammd I don't understand that. I am often confused how to "fit in"

@KittyRosa I manage to fake it. I'm fixing to turn 62 and don't think there's any one in the world who knows the real me. They know the "work" me, the "social" me, the faces I put on for most situations. But there's a real me here somewhere.

Yes! Most of the time I canā€™t really tell what Iā€™m feeling or even thinking, Iā€™m just moving through the motions of the routines I made.

Yes. My baseline is a meh empty numbness that is neither good nor bad, it just is. Lots of things variey day ti day and even minuet to minuet. But I feel this more often than not and feel it the most

Yes. If I don't have to be at work. I lay in my bed all day and night. Have friends who try to get me out and visit. I'll plan then when the day comes, lose motivation and cancel

Been there. Try looking into something you wouldn't usually do or used to do buy haven't in a while. Sometimes that little spark is all it takes to feel alive again šŸ’œ
