I know I'm overweight or whatever so developing celiac disease was probably for the best but listen. I just miss going out and grabbing taco bell or cookout on payday. now payday comes and it's like. wow we can get beef AND pork instead of having to pick one. and then I have to COOK IT MYSELF??? I'm a victim of a hate crime and the perpetrator is my own body

Its okay to miss foods that are familiar and comforting. Cooking takes a lot of energy, too.

I have tons of things I react to. I stopped eating out. I went into anaphylaxis so I get it!!! I have 'convience' foods for days I just can't. Like pasta that's gluten free. I also make pizza crusts in bulk and freeze. I do dairy free cheese and veggies. 'easy'. I also freeze when I'm having an ok day for bad days ahead. It's sooo rough. I get it. Some days I just want to order takeout but when it's not an option, we have to improvise

There are some restaurants that provide celiac friendly meals. It just requires some research. But unfortunately it is easier to cook your own meals. But you can prep meals that u can keep in your freezer and just cook when you want them.

I love that part at the end. This is definitely a hate crime. Me to my body: "What did I do to you?!" My body: 🤷🏼‍♀️ But seriously, it is hard adjusting. Kudos to you for making the effort to cook your food and all the time and energy that goes into it! I usually just end up finding a cheap safe alternative(*cough**cough*rice raman)and eating the same thing everyday till I can't even force myself to eat. High respects to you! 🙌
