so my girlfriend is pregnant and honestly I'm super happy and excited to start this new journey but then again my anxiety is through the roof because I keep thinking what if I'm not a good dad or what if I mess up or something etc etc idk I'm very happy but I just want to do what's best for my gf and my kid and i feel like I'm gonna mess something up does anyone have any pointers, preferably parents. thank you in advance

      disclaimer, i'm not a parent (sorry), though i would love to be someday. just wanted to leave a comment that you having that concern is evidence of enough self-awareness to do better than the person you fear becoming. parents aren't perfect, and that's okay. there's a bit of grace to be given in that you might stumble occasionally, but you are still trying so hard to be a good dad. that's more than what many of us could ask for out of our parents. keep this desire to always be better for your child and i'm sure you'll be a better and better parent every day. also, most importantly, congrats!!! that's such an exciting time for the two of you and i'm so happy for you. cheers! :)

      I remember how nervous I was. Mom will be super out of it for a while. I changed diapers for first 3 days after getting home. I had never done it before. Once it’s your own child, it’s like God guides you. You lock eyes with your perfect angel and see that beauty and purity. Everything will be alright!
