What's everyone's initial feelings after a few days of lithium carbonate?

When I took it on the first few days I felt that my mouth was dry all the time and I drank a lot of water and it didn't help. Also I got headaches that didn't go away for 3 days. I went to the doctor and he told me to keep taking it, and after two weeks or so these side effects vanished completely. Did you start taking lithium? It helped me a lot
